Borkenbox

Pieces of a destroyed crate.

A Crate is a vehicle-class wooden box that can hold a maximum of three guns or grenades inside. Crates have a specified amount of health, and will break open when the health is drained, releasing their contents. Crates are exclusive to singleplayer maps, as all vehicles are. If dropped from a large-enough height, it can kill players by crushing them.

A crate is actually a vehicle model that can be placed into maps. Crates have a customizable amount of health, and cannot be stacked on each other. It is possible to make indestructible crates in custom maps by giving them Infinity health. The crate advertises a flamboyant Coolbuddy on its sides, the sponsor of both Plazma Burst games.

Trivia:

  • It is possible to make indestructible crates in custom maps by giving them Infinity health.
    • If the player's effects quality is on "Low", Crates in PB2 cannot be stacked on each other, they will just collapse into each other as if it were one crate.
      • Before FTTP, Plazma Burst 1 also had wooden crates, having a different texture to that of PB2, and lacked the "Coolbuddy" logo.
      • Attempting to enter Crate as if it were a vehicle via Trigger action will cause the selected character to become invisible and intangible, only colliding with walls and doors if they are ragdolled, the character will still be able to swim in water as normal.
      • The same interaction can also occur with the Rope, or if the selected vehicle does not exist.
