A laser, or killing ray, is a common type of trap in Plazma Burst: Forward to the Past and Plazma Burst 2 that consists of a damaging red beam. A laser is a powerful energy-based field that can cause instant death to any character that touches it. If players goes through a laser, they will most likely break in half.
In Plazma Burst 2, the laser itself cannot kill a player, it is a mere decoration. A thin pusher with high damage must be placed with it to give it the killing effect. Lasers can often be found in Multiplayer. 'Do not cross sections' (gunshops, restricted areas) often use lasers to notify the player that the region is cordoned off. This can be used as an alternative to acid. It can also be used for a jumping obstacle, dark surfaces and sometimes invisible traps.

- Even if a laser is in vertical position, you will always get cut in half from the waist up.
- They are sometimes hard to get away from, especially like the one in the picture, as falling through the laser will cause you instant death.
